For years I have always dreamt of having a creative business and like many, I have placed this dream in the back burner and let life happen - getting married, a global pandemic and having two kids. Now that I am ready and badly wanting, and after attending many of Stacie’s online workshops, I made sure to get a copy of her book. Just as she is on her workshops, the book is very her, lively, helpful and supportive. What I like most is the tone and tempo of the content, especially for someone with anxiety like me. There are pages that you can place yourself where you are right now and tips on what you can do about it. We’re not stuck, we just needed a push from someone who knows how to be a creative and want/have a creative business. I personally have to stop before continuing on to Chapter 8 because there is work to do based on Chapters 1-7! And I don’t mind because rushing to have a business is causing me the anxiety. The exercises and actionable steps per chapters are giving me a break, a stop-check and a breather, ensuring myself that I will get there but best to be solidly ready.
Carmine, this means so much to read, thank you for sharing your experience so openly
We love how you described this as a companion, especially in a season where you’re balancing so much and still choosing to come back to your creative dreams. That’s no small thing. You’re moving forward in a way that truly supports you.
We’re cheering you on every step of the way ✨
I got my book not that long ago, and let me tell you... It is real. The book has not only bits of Stacie's story, but also her students. With action steps and exercises. This book is the recipe to achieving your dreams, but only if your willing to put in the work and keep moving forward. For those who are debating about grabbing a copy... IT'S WORTH IT!!!!
Quintana, thank you so much for sharing this! It means a lot to hear that the stories, action steps, and exercises resonated with you. We’re so glad it’s landed in your hands and we’re cheering you on as you keep moving forward with your creative goals.
I've recently started reading The Artist's side Hustle, and so far, I've noticed that it's honest and consistent with the information on other of Stacie's courses. It's gentle and engaging.
I love that it has actions you can take, so at the end I don't feel like I have to guess what to do and can just go ahead and do it instead.
Isa, we’re so happy to hear you’re enjoying it! Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope the rest of the book continues to inspire and support your creative journey.
The Artist’s Side Hustle arrived in my life at exactly the right moment. Stacie Bloomfield has created more than a book, it’s a blueprint for artists who are ready to move from “dabbling on the side” to building something steady, sustainable, and genuinely their own.
What I appreciated most is how practical and grounded her approach is. She doesn’t romanticize the creative path; she breaks it down into clear frameworks, tools, and systems that actually help you move forward.
This book gave me the clarity I needed for my own 2026 focus: choosing one business framework to commit to this year. Instead of scattering my energy across every shiny idea, Stacie’s guidance helped me see the power of simplifying, streamlining, and building a strong foundation.
Her business toolkit (from marketing essentials to outreach strategies) feels like a roadmap I can return to again and again as I grow my creative practice.
What makes Stacie’s teaching so refreshing is her understanding of real life. She acknowledges the challenges of running an art business while raising a family, caregiving, and juggling the invisible load so many of us carry. Her message is gentle but firm: slow growth is good growth. Consistency matters more than speed. And you don’t need to build an empire overnight, you just need to keep going and keep growing.
If you’re an artist craving direction, structure, and encouragement from someone who truly gets it, this book is a generous companion. It’s equal parts strategy and heart, and it left me feeling focused, capable, and excited for the year ahead.
Nelléne, thank you so much for taking the time to share this. Your words are incredibly thoughtful, and we’re so glad the book met you right where you are. Hearing that it helped you choose one framework to focus on for 2026 means a lot, that clarity is exactly what Stacie hopes artists walk away with. Thank you again for such a generous review, and we’re cheering you on as you keep going and growing.
Stacie’s book is the hand holding I needed to keep going on my art side hustle journey. I’ve made more art in the past month since reading than I have in the 6 months prior. I was finding myself lost on the journey and unsure what yo do next. This book is helping me how to identify what steps to take and a system to keep progress going. I’m currently working on building up my portfolio and honing my skills and style after switching mediums. I am so happy I have this book to be my guide and to use as a reference anytime I need it. Thank you Stacie, for sharing your expertise with the world!
A J B, thank you for sharing this. We’re so glad the book has helped you regain momentum and feel supported as you build your portfolio and refine your style. Hearing that it’s helped you create more and feel clearer about next steps means a great deal.
