Christmas Cookies Cafe Curtains
Christmas Cookies Across Your Kitchen Window
Two panels of our Christmas Cookies print, hand-drawn element by element and digitally printed onto flour sack cotton, are about to make your window the best-looking thing in the kitchen. The cloth is thin enough that morning light comes through the cookies instead of stopping at them, which is exactly what you want above a sink in December.
Hang them on a tension rod, a length of dowel, or whatever you already have in the closet, since the rod and hanging hardware are not part of the set. They work over a kitchen sink, a breakfast nook, a laundry room window, or the small awkward pane nobody has ever found a curtain for. Swap them in for the season, then wash them and fold them away with the ornaments until next year!

How to Hang Your Cafe Curtains
Turning your Gingiber tea towels into cafe curtains is easier than you think. Follow these simple steps to get a beautiful, finished look in your home.
Gather your supplies
You'll need your set of two Gingiber tea towels, a curtain rod sized to fit your window, curtain ring clips (available at most general stores or online), and a level or measuring tape. Hardware is not included with your curtains.
Purchase your hardware
The curtain ring clips and rod featured in our photos can be found at most general stores or online. Here are a couple we love: Amazon Cafe Curtain Clips and the Amazon Swan Curtain Rod. The right rod size will depend on your window width, so be sure to measure before ordering.
Please note, we do not receive an affiliate commission from these links.
Measure and install your rod
Measure your window width and install your curtain rod at the height you'd like the curtains to sit — cafe curtains typically hang across the lower half of the window for privacy while letting light in above. Use a level to make sure your rod is straight before securing it.
Attach the ring clips
Space your curtain ring clips evenly across the top edge of each tea towel. We recommend 4–6 clips per panel depending on your window width. Even spacing keeps the curtain hanging with a nice, relaxed gather.
Hang your curtains
Slide the ring clips onto the curtain rod and hang the rod back in place. Adjust the clips so the fabric is distributed evenly across both panels. Step back and give them a gentle tug to even out any bunching.
Style and enjoy
Smooth the fabric and let the curtains hang naturally for a few hours — flour sack cotton relaxes beautifully over time. For a crisper look, give them a light press with an iron on a low setting before hanging.
